Unpredictable weather requires predictable snow partners
Understanding and preparing for our Kansas City winters can be a difficult and daunting task, while choosing a qualified vendor can be even harder. We understand there is an immense amount of trust that you place in your Snow Removal Contractor.
This city we call home is one of the hardest places in the nation to predict all of our weather. We experience all four seasons and the weather that occurs during each season can change rapidly.
As you can see in the graphic below our snow totals have varied dramatically over the past six winters. From a heavy winter in 18-19 to what we experienced last season, a below average winter.
Understanding Kansas City weather and preparing for the worst is where we excel, we understand what success looks like and part of that is getting ready, well before the first snowflake.
How? Keep reading.
1. New Technologies
As we prepare now for the upcoming winter, we are keenly focussed on a few very important initiatives.
We have employed the latest data collection software to better understand, in real time and via GPS, where we are at in the progression of serving our clients during a storm. This allows us to see how long we have been on the property, what the weather is doing on the client site specifically and if we will hit the tenant markers for operation. This all helps us ensure the property is safe and aesthetically pleasing and that our crews are putting the snow in the right spot!
2. Operational Procedures
While liquid additives and applications have been around for decades, we have built significant structure around the use of liquid deicers as another tool in the belt. As a client this means you may experience different types of applications for varying types of snow weather systems. A healthy landscape after winter is long gone is of the utmost importance and applying liquids and other landscape friendly deicers are all part of our service offering.
3. Bolstering the Team
The majority of our team members have been battling winters with us in the Kansas City region for decades. Understanding how a team is developed and what can happen to the people during a several-day-long snow storm is important to you as a client. You should know the answer to the question, “Does my current vendor have enough people to keep me open if it snows for four days?” And the only right answer is “Yes.” We operate with a multi-tiered team structure from district managers all the way down to a “reserve” staff. We have benchwarmers waiting to hop into the fight when folks need to take a break.
Overall, we are prepared for whatever Mother Nature can throw at us! Yes, predicting the winters in Kansas City can be difficult, but with 35 years of experience in the industry, leading technologies, equipment and a team that has been around for the long haul, we are able to conquer whatever is thrown our way. We are here and continue to be here for the long haul. We look forward to serving our Kansas Citians in all things winter and would love to chat with you now about your Snow Removal needs to ensure you have a seat at the table!
